MEMBER OF THE MONTH SPOTLIGHT

Crossfit Cape Ann is definitely a place for everyone - especially families! Our CFCA coaching staff is excited to announce Dave and Rose Warner as our Members of the Month. This dynamic father-daughter duo have become a staple in our morning classes. A big ski family at heart, Dave and Rose have been dedicated to improving their strength and conditioning to enhance their performance on the slopes. Their commitment and positive attitude inspire everyone around them. Congrats, Dave and Rose!

What's your favorite achievement since joining CFCA?

Rose: My favorite achievement since joining CrossFit has been learning how to do a squat snatch.

Dave: Coming back recently after a few years off has been rough and really rewarding. Rose is training for the ski season and so am I

What would be your walk up song?

Rose: Confident by Demi Lovato

Dave: Janes Addiction Mountain Song 

What is your favorite lift?

Rose: Front squat

Dave: Single side kettlebell snatch 

Favorite WOD?

Rose: The Cali Bear

Dave: I like the challenge of the Bear complex

Very Least favorite WOD?

Rose: Anything with thrusters

Dave: I’m not a fan of any WOD with jumping rope.

What is one item you can't live without?

Rose: I can’t live/function without brushed/done hair, even if that means waking up a few minutes earlier.

Dave: I can’t live without a baseball hat, glare kills me.

What is your favorite part about working out as a family?

Rose: My favorite thing about working out as a family is being able to talk about the workouts after and what parts felt really good and what parts I can improve on and focus more on. I also enjoy that we are both preparing for our ski seasons even if they look a little different between the two of us!

Dave: Working out as a family’s been really fun for me. I’ve loved bringing her into the community and having her be part of the 5:30 AM crew. It’s been exciting to see how coordinated Rose is at cleans and snatches. Also it’s awesome to to finally have some one in the family to talk about CrossFit with!

Who is the better athlete?

Rose: I am the better athlete!!!

Dave: We both definitely have our strengths, but while skiing I’m definitely not ready to let her beat me down the mountain yet!
