Donna represents what CFCA is all about. She shows up ready to learn, embraces the grind, and brings a competitive spark that pushes everyone around her. Since joining CFCA, she's made huge strides. From perfecting her deadlift form to stringing together knees to somethings, she attacks everything with focus and determination. It's no surprise that she absolutely crushed the February rowing challenge - rowing 267,139 meters in February. Wow!
Donna is no stranger to the water. As a gig boat and seine boat rower, she knows what it means to stay steady and pull for the team. That grit shows up in every workout.
Strong. Competitive. Always learning. And when the music's on? She is ready to dance. We're so lucky to have you, Donna. Keep pulling hard, in the boat and in the gym.
Congrats, Donna! Welcome to the Member of the Month Club. You deserve it!

What’s your favorite achievement since joining CFCA?
Completing the open last year and doing the MURPH for the first time (scaled of course)
What would be your walk up song?
The Chicago Bears Anthem by Borna Matosic
Favorite lift?
Bench Press
Favorite/Least favorite WOD?
Favorite: Maybe Jackie?
For time:
1,000-meter row
50 thrusters
30 pull-ups
Least Favorite: Any WOD that even scaled I wouldn't be able to do what was written.
What is one item you can’t live without?
My planner book since I don't like using my apple calendar, I need to write everything down.
What is next on your bucket list?
Being successful with chest to bar pull ups and unassisted strict pull ups.
What is your favorite part about being a member at CFCA?
Absolutely no brainer, the community and the support the community has given me since joining just over a year ago. I've never not felt like I belonged and I truly have FOMO when I can't go to class.
What advice would you give new members?
Don't be afraid to ask lots of questions and most importantly don't be afraid to scale your workouts to what works for you. Working out doesn't need to be scary; all moves can be scaled to your ability which is why I really enjoy being a part of CFCA at my age.
